I have always loved to express myself creatively and I love colour…since before I can remember. When painting a horse I am consumed with detail, muscle movement… perfection.

I graduated from Rhodes University in 1995 with BA Hon HDE. I spent time teaching in mainstream schools, but soon I was taking on commissioned portraits and chose that as a life path. I work extensively on commissions and when the inspiration takes me, I devote myself to my own paintings, whether they be horses or wildlife or something a bit different.

Teaching from my home based studio happened by chance. I had many inquiries and decided to diversify. I exhibit my work annually and have exhibited at Kirstenbosch, Atlantic Beach Golf estate and Rust-en-Vrede Art Gallery.

Thus Art, both teaching and painting, has become my life. An intense experience filled with light and dark, sprinkled with colour.
